"Learning”
Share why you love working with STEM Center USA students.
“I love working with STEM Center USA because of the hands-on experience I get with the students. By spending lots of time together completing STEM activities I get to know a lot of the students very well. You start to identify the different learning habits and communication styles, it is a blessing to get to know each student individually. "
What does being a STEM Center USA team member mean to you?
Even the hard and busy days always have a silver lining!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy the relationships that are inevitably built with students. Some students are bright and outgoing as soon as they meet you, but I also love it when I can pull the quieter students out of their shells! I truly enjoy seeing all of the personalities come out as we go through class.
What have you learned in your time on our team in your position(s)? How has this helped you personally or professionally?
In the time I have been with STEM Center USA, I have learned to properly manage a classroom, interact with students, and even provide information in a manner that can be understood by all ages. I have a better understanding of how children behave and learn. I have also experienced an improvement in my communication skills overall. I can communicate better, not only in the classroom, but via Zoom, and with other professionals.
Thank you for your dedication and hard work, Ms. Shayna! We’re grateful to have you with us! ❤️
